Joint accreditation statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Northwell Health and END SEPSIS, the Legacy of Rory Staunton is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.


Credit Designations

Physicians: Northwell Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: Northwell Health designates this activity for 2.5 ANCC contact hours.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate the physiological responses to Sepsis in adults, children and pregnant persons as each have potentially different presentations

  • Diagnose early Sepsis prior to the patient needing intensive care or experiencing organ injury

  • Integrate new data coming form regulatory bodies such as CME and CDC into their approach to the diagnosis and care of Sepsis patients

Target Audience

This activity was planned by and for MDs, NPs, and RNs. All other members of the health care team who are interested in education about sepsis are invited to attend.
